Multi-Custom In-Ear Monitor Review, Resource, Mfg List & Discussion (Check first post for review links & information) - Page 47

Definitely, I never found a bright sound to be natural though, but phones with brighter sound tend to be more detailed, or at least appears to be. I especially like the treble on the SA43s, I used to be a bit of a treble head and lived for hot treble sparkles, but after listening to the 43s, the sparkles and decay are just superb. Sparkles and brightness are all very realistic.

These are definitely very revealing of poorer recordings and sources.

Apart from the 801, what other portable sources do you recommend joe?

My Livewire Duals will be here early next week, just got the confirmation earlier today.   Livewire support really changed, very quick to reply, very helpful and caring in my experiences.  Amy is amazing, 10/10 experience for me so far.  Lets hope they arrive with no problems.

Just in:

I talked to Grzegorz today (Spiral Ears guy), and he tipped me off that SE's customs may go up in price by the end of the year, so get them fast if you want one. They don't ship outside of the EU though, so you'll need to figure a way ship them to you if you live outside EU.

Wow, like the prices are not high enough already lol.....

I just received my SA43s and so far it seems I have dodged the custom bullet since I had them sent to work biggrin.gif

I try and find that comparisons are the best way to really put things into perspective.

Great to hear about the CS, Alclair has the same CS.  I am looking forward to hearing the Livewire trips.

Hey

My SA-43 got stuck in the Norweigian custom when i shipped them for refit, and now the package is stuck in the UK because they also want to clear them for import tax also, because i decided to get Starkey to ship them this time to my work in the UK, i guess that was a stupid idea as i payed the tax once through another country the first time..

Eventho UPS already have a record of me paying the tax once through danish customs, they wont allow it to be shipped without problems anywhere else, but i guess i should have seen this coming too...

What a annoying "adventure" up till now...

I have read about it on a another forum. Its like it can´t keep up because it tries to give as much bass details as possible when there is fast bassdrumming. Iam going to go with the NT6 Pro. Thanks for all the help.

Sorry to hear about that. I had a lot of issues with Courier services and clearing customs in the past as well, although not a single problem with regular registered post. Hopefully you will get them soon and they will fit perfectly =)

That description seems kind of odd as you usually need speed for detail, or do bass details translate to bass reverb, which I could see being a potential problem depending on tuning.  I think you will be very pleased with the NT6.

I added a custom IEM summary chart in the first post near the top to try to help with buying decisions; let me know what you think.
