Had none issues about the filter, it is well none and fits right in.

As you can see the filter infront, use the filter for concert or hearing protection and still maintains the natural audio fidelity without distortion.

You cant use as same time with ERM monitor.

SA series sounds better then ERM, but ERM isnt that bad either.

 

@ azndmp, thank you for all of your PM assistance!  I have better clarification from Starkey:

The Starkey SA series is currently only available in Norway, but both the UK and US Starkey labs may bring out the SA-43, which is the most popular Starkey model.

Tunz tunes their own custom monitors, which are available from Starkey US and are tuned different than the Starkey monitors.  Starkey US also resells them under different partners and trade names.

The ERM silicone range is actually plug-in monitors as can be seen here and the tips are a product line from this company while the plug in monitors are made by Starkey Norway.  They are similar to musicians earmolds from ACS, Westone, and Etymotic.  

So, in summary, the SA-43 is the most popular Starkey product and will be available elsewhere soon and I tried to update that info in the manufacturer section.

And from an email from Grzegorz when asked about his "delayed woofer" (now called delayed "ignition" woofer):

"A “delayed” woofer is an idea I’ve been thinking and experimenting upon for a long period of time now and which I have implemented in the upcoming models. I cannot disclose the details for that as the concept is not used anywhere else, as far as I know. It doesn’t, of course, mean any delay in time or phase of the transducers, etc., but rather the ability to render the signal in a controlled environment with different “strength/amplification” and levels as perceived by one’s brain. At least to my ears it helps with texturing, SPL, punch, attack/decay ratio of bass notes, etc.The best bass I've ever heard anywhere so far."

Chrome, and I think I figured out what is doing it...the clear button!  I will have to try again without the clear button (PITA), and I asked a mod to clean up the thread and delete my extra posts.

My original reshelled TF10 sounds like it would be close to perfect for you!  From what I know there are no presentations from customs like the IE8, but the EP-10 Plus is the closest.

The X3 has a very present treble and a somewhat forward midrange to go with the spacious presentation.  I haven't heard any of the others, but here is what I do know about them:

SE 3-way ref - if it has a similar sound signature to the 5-way, it will give a slightly laid back presentation with great tonality

Some say that the JH13 does not have enough bass weight for them as it is very neutral and has treble sparkle

Original: The Q has rolled off treble, a mid-forward midrange and some deep bass rolloff

Edit: I meant the T has rolled off treble, a mid-forward midrange and some deep bass rolloff according to more than one person I know that owns them as well as looking at the graphs (and shoving one in my ears).

Also, trying a universal, especially a JH universal isn't necessarily going to give you the true sound.

It actually sounds like you may like the UE custom IEM sound signature.
