Joker and Project86 both reviewed the Kozee Infinity X1. You may be able to get a used BA IEM and get it reshelled for around $160, which should pretty much keep the sound except add some additional deep bass via bone conduction.

Thanks for the response. I read both of their reviews, but I was looking specifically at the non executive version, and they both reviewed the executive version. The executive version supposedly has an upgraded driver and is acrylic rather than the silicone that comes with the non executive version. I've considered the second option you mentioned too, but for the reshell alone it is around $120 + I would probably need a new cable which adds to that + the original cost of the regular BA IEM, so I don't really think its an option at my current budget, but thanks for the advise!

Finally!! Got my 5 way today after 3 months!
All I can say is they are worth every minute of the waiting indeed! The silicon material is so soft which gives you really good isolation and fit! They are in my ears almost all the time since they arrived! They a bit hard to insert, but very easy to pull out.
I don't need to add anything about the sound. Average joe's review covers possibly all aspects accurately! I hear almost everything he said! 5 way simply blew me away. Super high resolution. I completely agree with the review on the bass! It goes to just the right depth. It can go really deep when it needs to. The sound absolutely reach (if not surpass) the level of LCD 2 (except the open space feel).
The cable has a little bit longer pins than Twag cables. But Twag cable fits really well. I haven't spend much time on Twag cable yet. I didn't feel much instant noticable difference when I switch between cables though.
whats your source? have you tried it on different ones?
and joe, can you compare the iphone 4s with i fuzen, iphone 4s without amp, iphone 3G source matching with LS8?

HM801 + GAME I also tried it on iphone 4 which doesn't sound special.
Sad to say this. But I found my Twag v2 cable is actually a downgrade for my 5 way. Brighten the sound a little bit by bring the vocal closer to your face. Loosen the bass a lot (IMO) which makes the bass sound lazy and sloppy. Resolution doesn't seem to sound that ultra with it too.

It wouldn't surprise me if Grzegorz got the most out of the 5-way with the cables he is currently using, matching them perfectly.

Did you get yours back?
I might be wrong though. Cuz when we talk about cable. it's only small difference. The volume might be different between two cables. Also 5 way is somewhat harder for me to insert into my ears. So it might also due to the positions. But I really didn't find Twag do any favor over the stock cable.
But I absolutely in love with my 5 way. I never thought IEMs could sound this good.
P.S. don't pull out your 5 way cable like you did with other IEMs. try to pull them out really gently since even the socket and pin holes are all made of silicone.
I thought they uploaded your pictures weeks ago on fb.

There is one review of the non-executive version which said the treble cut off at something like 12 KHz. I think Fisher Hearing in FL does a reshell for $90 (do they include an impression kit?). There really aren't many options at that level. And with a low budget you will have to sacrifice quite a bit; what is your budget? It might be worthwhile to save up and get something better down the road.
I will have to do some listening when I have the time, hopefully this weekend.

Yes, pictures of mine went up on the fb site, but they hit the cutoff person and are now on their way to me, but I don't have an exact arrival date.
Thanks for the tip on changing the cables. On that note, I have tried to detach the ACS T1 Live! cable and have not been able to. I need to look for a video on how to do it as I don't want to damage the T1, especially since I am not done with my review (I NEED to finish that soon).
And this is the 1 year anniversary of this thread!

According to this test I took, there's a 22 dB drop between 8 kHz and 12 kHz.
"not" or "now"?

No word on your livewires yet, joe? I've hit the wall with headphones a few days ago after purchasing the Fischer Audio FA011. I have owned every single major headphone under 2k and I prefer the Livewires over all of them, that includes the hifiman he500/6 and lcd2/3. I think the livewire dual hit a sweet spot with me, it is by far the most intimate experience Ive had in audio, then again its the only custom ive owned so i cant say as I am sure there are much better iems out there. But, for $250, fully customized and with a rotating cup so I can wear them slung downward, ugh, awesome. Still a great buy IMO after the last few months with them. I went back to mid fi and will never go back to hifi again until something super cheap comes out that is life changing, none of the expensive sets are worth it, too big, too distant sounding, uncomfortable, requires too much power to use, ect ect. My livewires outlasted all of them, I am totally fine with it being the only headphone I own.

Hearing things like that make me question whether I should keep my HE400's when they finally get here or sell em and get some customs haha. I guess I'll wait and see how much I like them before making any decisions obviously, but I feel like if I don't LOVE them I'll seriously consider getting some customs.
