Colorfly CK4, finally some competition for the HifiMan 60X ? - Page 15

i am highly interested in this DAP now that the fiio x3 is cancelled. a few questions for owners:

-how is the battery life?

-is there ID3 tag recognition?

-are on-the-go playlists possible?

-is there gapless support for mp3/FLAC?

-what is this issue with the volume controlling the line-out?

Where you recommended to buy this player?

Thanks in advance

Just to confirm that the C4 can use 64GB microSDXC cards provided they are formattet to FAT32 (at least it works with my SanDisc cat6 card that I just bought for this use). 96GB hires wav in one big file per album with a cue file giving perfect gapless playback.

Just to update the last post. Yes the 64GB works fine with the C4 but when you connect the C4 to a computer with the card in place the computer does not recognize the card only the internal memory of the C4. I have to put the card in a SD adaptor and place it in the SD card slot in my computer before it is recognized.

Player is just arrived,
I noticed that it can't read the tag information of .flac because I read "no artist" "no album".

I've this problem only with .flac file....any solution?

Mine had no problem reading tags in the few flac files I tried but I only use wav as it does not play hires flac

Have you some ideas on how I can solve the problem?

No idea. The 16/44 were ripped with eac and the higher res (that didn't play bu did show metadata) were bought from hdtracks, linn, naim and others. They all also show metadata in foobar

About the flac tag problem, there's a possibility it's linked to the way the player handles the IDTags. So it might be a good idea to try with only IDTag V1, and then only IDTag V2. Foobar should let you choose whichever you want to use, if not it's always possible to use a dedicated software like the Godfather.

On manual is indicate to use max 800ma charger.

I think that your 1000ma can damage the battery in a long time use of device.
