Clip+ > Clip...why Fuze+ < Fuze?

I know it's subjective, and probably splitting hairs, but if the Clip+ kicks the Clip's butt...what is it about the Fuze+ that didn't make the cut?

Totally different hardware, inside and out.

I don't know if the Clip+ is much better than the Clip, but I can see why many wouldn't like the Fuze+: unnecessary touch screen interface since it is pretty much a music player only, and lack of rockbox.

AFAIK the Fuze v2 is identical to the Clip v2 and the Clip + (same hardware, different housing). Although the Fuze has a bettery battery life (the v2 even better than the v1), larger screen (color too) and runs rockbox like the others. On the down side IMO the Fuze build quality isn’t as nice, the screen scratches easier, no belt clip and the wheel isn’t as good (easy to navigate) as the D-pad.

We're talking about Fuze+ vs Fuze here. Not V1 vs V2.

I've read several reviews of the Fuze+ that say it's very slow to turn on (boot up), has poor menu navigation, and suffers from other annoying problems. As others have said, it's very different hardware inside and it may not measure as well or even sound as good either. There's a bit more info in my Fuze review.

And for those who don't like the jog dial on the Fuze, the same "D pad" buttons are there and still work just like they do on the Clip+. And to me, personally, the Fuze seems higher quality than the Clip+. It has a rubberized back, is much thinner and more "sleek", and feels better in your hand. It's much more comfortable to hold and use with one hand.

I will pass the fuze+ as I like to use buttons without looking at the player.

Thanks for pointing it out I certainly wouldn't have know without you pointing it out :sarcastic: ... if you must know I was only posting my opinion regarding the ones I have tried or what I would recommend.

Good move I'd pass on it too just because of the UI and others assesment of it but I must admit I've not tried it out, only saw it once.
