Im a bit confused which Sony MH1C/Sony ericcson MH1 model you reviewed since I can see Sony MH1C 20$ @ amazon, You gave its estimated price as 80$..
Can you confirm that the above model thats been reviewed?
Hmm..I think I found the 60$ one..
Can someone point out the difference in these?
Also, ClieOS, Are these fake or the real ones, I reside outside USA, so amazon wont ship, ebay is my only way to buy them :

Hmmm, I also am wondering about the "real or fake" issue with the ones that are listed on ebay. Have been burned on a pair of sony canalphones before on ebay and was hoping not to repeat the experience. All list themselves as being "genuine", but none come in their retail packaging, only bulk.

ClieOS in his review said " If you can get a real MH1 with those $30 bulk deals, it would be an absolute steal", so it may be genuine ..as amazon too has about 20$ price for the same with bulk packaging

$80 is the price tag you'll pay for a full retail MH1 / MH1C that comes in a pretty box directly from Sony. Of course bulk packaging will be cheaper.
I haven't seen an actual fake MH1 out there yet, just so you know. But I can't confirm every MH1 out there is the real deal either. That's humanly impossible. If it looks very close to the real one, I'll say you have a good chance. After all, I got a real MH1 from DX for less than $30 as well.
Anyway, if you still can't figure out which is MH1 and which is MH1C, you should go back and read the 'Variation and Confusion' section again.

They're $20 on Amazon. It says repair part, but it is the full headset, likely bulk packaged.
The first review says that the title is incorrect, it is the newer version.
How do these compare to the SHE3580?

I picked up on of these from Amazon. Cost under €20 (25 bucks) I'm kinda of a Low Fi guy, so my opinion might not count for much. But someone else might be interested in my 2c. I've got MX760 buds, Meelec M6 and the stock Sony X1050 buds to compare these Sony's with. I generally listen to everything with no EQ or flat. I listen to everything really, from classical, pop, to dance to hard rock/metal. First impression is I couldn't disagree with anything ClieOS said. His description pretty much nailed my own opinion exactly. Well at least my first listen, with no burn in.
Build quality is very good. Feels like something much more expensive. ClieOS said Nominal Impedance: 15Ω but it acted like a 32Ω on my devices. Usually I have a problem with hiss with phones with low Impedance. But I had zero hiss with these, which I normally associate with 32Ω phones. I know theres more to it than that, but its above my head.
Sound for me I describe as smooth, a little laid back, good detail, and soundstage, bass was very good in that it was detailed and precise. But not for bassheads. Which is how I like it. The M6's I have, have much more bass but its pretty woolly which I don't like. Over all impression is of quality and smoothness. One thing I think it lacks is a any sparkle of the high end. Its ok, but I think the stock X1050 buds are better for high end. The X1050 buds are a little faster in attack, the MH1c is more laid back. Other than the high end, these MH1c are a step up in quality everywhere else than the X1050 buds. The 1050 buds sound cheaper and harsher. The seperation in the MH1c is very good, musicians will love that about them. Compared to my MX760 buds the MH1c has much better seperation, soundstage and detail. But the MX760 are more musical, faster and richer, sparkle at the top end. Mind you they were 3 times the cost. But for me they are worth that difference. Perhaps this indicates I'm tone deaf. So be it. BTW my test for high end is Arcangelo Corelli : Violin Sonata Op. 5 No. 12 from Jefferson In Paris. High fast strings in that.
Not much microphonics. Isolation was really very good. I got a good seal. I haven't experimented with the different tips. But I do find the one it came with slip out too easily for me. Its not helped by the completely daft location of the remote controls. I found it unusable in that location tbh. If someone has a guide to a decent way to wear these to help with this, then please share. As it is. I doubt I could use these on the move. maybe bigger tips would help. Pause and Play worked with my ICS phone but none of the other controls.

These things are amazing once EQ'd with Ipod/Iphone's "treble booster" preset. I would put them in the same ballpark as my TripleFi 10 and above my UE700.
