Hooking up a Subwoofer to Xonar STX and studio monitors

Hey there,

I've been pondering a while now whether I should or should not invest in a subwoofer for my desktop setup. As part of my ongoing research, I need to know how one can connect the subwoofer to a computer-based system.

At the moment, my setup consists of: Xonar STX > RCA - RCA > JBL LSR 2325P

How would a subwoofer fit into the line-up? Do I need to buy any additional gear to allow a connection to a sub?

Thanks.

It depends what sub you get, you can get subs with a rca pass though, so it would go Xonar STX > RCA - RCA > sub > RCA - RCA > JBL LSR 2325P.
