Long reader, new user
I know that there are many things to consider when choosing an amp for your headphones, but they are all above my head and wanted to enlist the help of head-fi.
As far as I'm aware, all of the following should be considering when trying to pair a headphone with an amp:
- Amp current
- Amp voltage
- Headphone impedance
- User wants
I believe I can answer the last two. From the specs listed here, it has 40ohm impedance w/ 96db sound pressure.
As far as what I want, I'm looking for a desktop amp/dac combo that would match the PRO900 perfectly. I would like to have an amp that could put some emphasis on bass (more bass body/punch would be a giant plus), give a wide soundstage, with clear mid/highs.
I don't know if this should be a tube amp, ss amp, or what have you; that's why I've come here to ask :]
