On the "Bad Company" title track of the Steve Hoffman mastered Bad Companygold CD, I detected a tiny treble defect in the song, it's sort of s treble "tap" or "treble hit" that is very short, about a tenth of a second, barely detectable. It occurs at exactly 1 minute and 51 seconds into the song, at the 1:51 point. I heard it on my Grado SR60 first design headphones on my 3rd Generation iPOD Nano. I can also hear it on my computer speakers, Harman Kardon Soundsticks II. Curious if anyone else can pick it up...I presume it's a defect on the master tape, that Steve felt it best to leave in. It is a 192 Kbit AAC file on my iPod ripped from the gold CD.
