How to connect subwoofer to soundcard?

Sounds easy enough, but its not working.

 

Equipment:

Powered subwoofer

Powered speakers 

Auzuntech forte soundcard.

 

-I connect the sub cable to soundcard "REAR" and the speakers to the "FRONT"

-The speaker configuration in the Auzuntech audio console is at 2.1

 

The front speakers work fine but now sound to the sub.

 

Any ideas?

You hook up to the sub jack, not rear jack. The rear jack is for rear speakers.

 

It's probably better to have your speakers connected to your sub's output and your sub's input to the soundcard

Do you mean connect the sub to the "FRONT" connection and connect the powered speakers to the sub?

 

Thats basically the only connection that works anyway.

It should say Center/SUB. What are your speakers? Also does your sound card support digital audio out (coaxial)?

Yes I tried to connect to center/sub but no sound at all.  Even if I connect that to my speakers.

 

Yes it has a digital out.  Can I just use a subwoofer cable to connect it there?  I think its supposed to connect to a receiver as stated on the instruction.

One more bump to finally settle this issue.

 

Are there any DACs out there that have a an output a sub (speakers and connected to sub) and headphones?
