I hate to say it, but no. I greatly prefer stock.

After burn in, the Pro 900 sounds like a Kees modded "out of box" version anyway.

I probably won't do anything to the PRO 900 then lol. I already have the HD600 for balanced sound. I want something with a very strong, tight, and punchy bass because none of my headphones now have authority in the bass department. Thanks for all the suggestions! :)

BTW, the D7000 has bass similar to the M50, but it sounds separated from the detail of everything else, so its unobtrusive. Still trying to figure out how such subterranean bass could be so powerful and not trample on everything else.

I'd still like to try the Pro 900...badly.

Where can you find them for less than 600.00. Or did you mean used?

Nope, new. Electronics-Expo has them for $545 I believe, with a certain coupon code. I don't have the code, so you'll have to ask around. I got mine for $595 around new years from Electronics-Expo as well. Brand spanking new.

Back to the OP; since the DT 990's seem to have jumped back up to the $300 mark, I'd say go with the PRO 900's every time. They can be had for $320 via buyauthorized on eBay (make an offer), and while I would usually never recommend eBay as a means to purchase headphones, just about everyone from the PRO 900 appreciation thread, myself included, has purchased from buyauthorized and can confirm its is a legit and unused headphone and cannot be found for cheaper on the internet.

Is that $320 for an open boxed? That's the only one I can seem to find from buyauthorized on eBay

Any more opinions on DT990 vs Pro 900? I am looking for a pair to compliment my Q701s with quite a bit more bass for EDM. Thanks!
