Best OPAMP available for the Creative Titanium HD?

Really don't like the highs with this standard OPAMP - any recmmendations for a fuller/balanced soundstage please.

ADA4627-1B is the very best.  =]

It is a SOIC chip, however, and requires soldering to a soic-to-dip adapter.

 

Alternatively, LT1364, which does come in DIP8 for solderless installation.

Would the soldering job require a high level of skill for this though?

 

Don't want to short circuit anything haha :)

If you are comfortable with SMD soldering.  You solder two ADA4627-1BRZ to a 2x1 adapter.

You can get that opamp as samples from Analog Devices, Inc.  =]
