I have an Denon PMA 2000 IVR integrated amp. I know there is a way to by pass the preamp but I am a new audiophile and don't know how. Can someone explain how?

I have tried the way I think it should be done and looked at the manual but I don't think I am doing it right. I think the sign I am doing it right would be that the volume control on the amp would not work and I would need to use the volume control on my headphone amp which is the Woo WA6. Is that right?

I have a Woo Audio WA6 headphone amp. After I bypass the preamp in the PMA 2000 IVR can I use the WA6 as my preamp?

My speakers are 96 db efficient.

I will be getting a WA5 LE headphone amp in two weeks. So can I use it for a preamp as well as an headphone amp? Or are there better dedicated preamps out there?

I have read that the preamp in my PMA 2000 IVR is not so good so I want to experiment with other preamps for it. Just for right now I want to try my WA6 headphone amp.

I'm happy with the PMA 2000 IVR as an amp for now.

Thank you for your help.
