Sound distortion on the ZuneHD 32gb

I'm having sound distortion on my ZuneHD on random times.

But after i restart the device, it's gone; and after quite some time listening, it's there again.

Is there a way to fix this permanently? i haven't tried using portable amps because there's no available LOD in my country.

I don't think there is any available LOD for a Zune anywhere.

Are you completely sure it is the Zune?  Badly compressed music can cause that too.  Does that do that to one track or for all, and is it for low, mids, or highs?  Also, have you tried switching headphones or trying to play the track on a different DAP, and other combinations?

yes i'm 100% sure it's the zune. it was like that for all kinds of music i played. i only play 256k-320k mp3 files.

i tried playing the same music in the zune software on my laptop using the exact earphones i used with the zune but there was completely no distortion of some sort.

i also tried different headphones and earphones and it's still there. the distortion is more emphasized on highs and mids.

I'm having the same problem with my Clip+. I listened to the music on my laptop and it sounds clear, but when I listen to it on my Clip+ it gets distorted on the lows and mids.
