Budget card that can do 44.1/44khz passthrough and supports EAX for games?

Title says it all.

My current card (AV-710) can only do 48khz passthrough output and doesn't do surround sound gaming at all.

Don't get me wrong, it sounds fine and it plays AC3/DTS surround movies fine.. but it requires using MPC with AC3Filter resampling AC3/DTS surround sound albums that aren't 48khz(which I have many.)

In my opinion a good card should do all of these things and the AV 710 does not.

Though now I realize that my receiver has analog RCA inputs for an external 5.1 decoder so perhaps I don't need TOSLink/Coaxial and I could just use a card with a good analog 5.1 output?

I use Foobar for my library but I can't use it with surround sound albums because it doesn't support passthrough at all, meaning I should use analog surround? I honestly don't know.

I also have free PCI-E 1x slots if there's a good card in that format.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks,

Joseph
