Hey guys, my current setup looks like this:
PC (Foobar2k + FLAC) (USB) > Audio GD FUN (Line Out) > KRK RP10S Sub > KRK RP6 Monitors
The FUN hooks up via RCA to the Sub, then I have XLR going to the monitors from the sub. The problem I am having is I get a interference coming through both monitors quite often. It may last for a few seconds, then dies off for a few, then starts again. It's rather sporadic. They are a high pitched, squeeky sound. Kind of like when you are getting a text on your phone near some speakers, but higher pitched than that.
I am using cheap, $5 RCA's (https://www.jbhifionline.com.au/plasma-lcd-tvs/tv-accessories/avico-ac142up-1-5-mtre-2-2-rca-cable/232947), so I'm assuming this is a cable noise issue, as I have a bunch of cables under my desk where the USB from the FUN runs to the computer and the RCA's. I something like (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300309749544&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT) likely to fix the problems I am experiencing?
Edit: Just realized, the noises are most prominent when I move my mouse and when I load new web pages etc. With this being said, I experience no noise whatsoever with my headphones.
