Hello,

 

Sorry for my bad english but here i go  :>

 

What in your opinion is better:

 

Headroom balanced ultra desktop amp (buda)

Headroom ultra desktop DAC

Headroom desktop power supply

 

 

or

 

 

Audio-gd reference 7.1 dac

Audio-gd phoenix

 

(didnt find any power supply for them :> )

Do you have (or plan to have) your 'phones wired to be balanced?  If not, then I don't think there's a reason to buy the balanced version of the amp.  

 

In either case - I think you are looking at some mighty-fine gear.

Yep I plan to have balanced wired phones : Sennheiser HD 800  + Double Helix complement FP601 Rhodium XLR

This is an older post, but I really like being able to use the crossfeed circuit.  In many cases it doesn't make sense to use, but if music was mixed for regular speakers, having the crossfeed makes the sound more like what was intended.  I find using the crossfeed helps avoiding fatigue from more shocking left or right separation of sounds in many types of music.  I have no experience with the other products mentioned here.
