ASUS Essence STX opamps

Thread Starter

I have a Asus Essence STX soundcard with the default opamps and a Denon AH-D2000 Headphone. I would like to try out some other opamps. The new ones should give me the same distance to the isntruments as the default ones, I like to be in the middle of the stage. The bass shouldn't be less, it could be even a bit tighter or just as the same like the default ones. With the default opamps I find the highs sometimes scratchy, so the highs should be "smoother".

I hope someone can recommend me an opamp with these properties, thanks in advance!

HA3-2525-5, can be had as samples from Intersil.

It will need an adapter because it is a mono chip.

It is very smooth and clear and mildly bassy.
