Hi,

I'm considering buying one of these card, have they been compared to some cd players like rega Apollo or Jolida Music Van, is yes, what are the results ?

Thanks for any information

Think that main difference is that RME and Lynx are mede to be dead neutral, balanced, natural have great separation and positioning which is crucial for studio work while rega have house signature that gives life to not so good production or some kind of lossy format. They are on oposite sides but there is no clear winner, there is just what you like more...

Ok, so is there some pci card that are more hifi oriented and excellent quality ? (comparable to these 2 cd players)

In fact, I like both kind of sound but don't know yet which one I prefer, I have an EMU 0404 usb in my bedroom that I like and a Jolida Music Van in another room that I like too but plan to replace with a pc so it would be interresting to know if both kind of sound can be achieved with different pci cards.
