And I don't really see a point is separating the forums, seeing that over 90% of the post in portable are based around IEMs in the first place.

Exactly my point. I have to sift through 90% of the freakin' IEM's out there to find threads about something I care about. I don't know the names of all the IEM's out there so I see a thread that says..."Senngrado PX90-80i appreciation thread"...and I haven't got a clue whether it's an IEM or can. I end up wasting all my freakin' time sifting.
Whereas those who need it all "nice and accessible" could get an interim page when they click on portables that says:
Buds
IEMS
Cans
(or whatever your choice terminolgy)
and it becomes even nicer, more tidy, and just as accessible.
There's enough clutter in the forums already. We don't need another sub forum area. Also I don't see an issue. This is the portable phones area and all of those are portable. It just happens to be that iems are more popular than the other options.
With that reasoning you might as well have a separate sub forum for dynamic, BA, hybrid, closed, open, electrostatic, orthodynamic, etc
This has probably been said, but I think we should move "portable headphones" into the "full-size" forum and leave IEMs/canalphones/customs here. The line between portables and full-size is already blurred anyway depending on what you call a portable - is the M50 a portable? What about the Shure 750DJ? My point is the portable headphones in this forum share more similarity with full-size headphones than with IEMs, which are hard to compare against full-size sets.
