The R8 that comes with the T51 sounds like any cheap stock earphone :) I replace the tip with Sony Hybrid so it go deeper into my ear canel and seals better. They actually sounds not bad of course they are not the same league like RE0 or Turbines but adequate for day to day listening. Not bad for a free IME.

A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

This quick review is done after a few hours of listening. I bought them from B&H for the decent sum of 150$. If you've done your research you'll find out that Ultrasone HPs are known for their...

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

Haven't heard RE0.
The R8 is my go-to IEM now. SQ-wise, I WAY prefer it to Shure SE530 and even over EarSonic SM3. No kidding. I must have an ear-brain system tuned for dyn's. The 530's are very unrefined & have awful cable, while SM3 lack PRAT and get congested when harmonics get complex. The silicone double-flange that comes with the R8 is decent, but I can also use my IE-8's tips as well as Shure E2C (a dyn Shure and their best IEM IMO, BTW ;).
About the R8's cable ... the best I've encountered in an IEM ... its super thin/lightweight/non-microphonic....dunno how durable in the long run, but I even prefer it to IE-8s cable.
BTW ... anyone know who this IEM's OEM is? I've seen the packaged Cube 30 IEM on ClieOS's review list, and that looks VERY similar ...
... as does Beta Brainwavs (v2 ??) ...
So WHO (OEM) makes lil' GEMS ... errr ... IEMS ;)
(Don't you love acronyms?!)
