Hi,

Just joined the forums after looking at "The Opamp thread".

 

So, I currently own a pair of Sennheiser HD 555, plugged in my X-Fi titanium hd sound card

555's spec:

 

 

  • Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)0.2 %
  • Sensitivity103 dB
  • Impedance120 Ohm
  • My question is: 
  • Will I get louder/better sound if I add an amp ? If yes, is there good thing around 120 $ and is it worth it ?

I don't know if I am at my headphones limit or they're not getting enough power.

 

My goal is to listen music louder than I actually can without distortion of course...
