I have a Headroom Little with the performance upgrades but stock power supply.

 

I'd like to either source an original More Power and swap it for the stock power supply (I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron).

 

I'd also consider building my own version of the "More Power" power supply, but to be honest, I'm not so technically versed- I know what a transformer looks like, what caps are, what resistors are- but not really skilled at reading circuit diagrams.

 

Anyhow, I do not know if the Headroom Little amp gets any internal mods on the board when the factory used to do the "More Power" conversion or if it's basically just desoldering the old cord and soldering the new cord in.

 

Anyone know?

 

And anyone ever build their own version of the "More Power"?

I just got one of those too.

Talking with Headroom, they suggested one of the Astrodyne power supplies.

Called Astrodyne and confirmed the right part number for the supply. PM me if you need it. 
Now I'm wondering if it will be worth spending the money on it or not.
