Marvel VS. Capcom 3

Who else is excited about this new game release?  I just picked up a copy from the store, I even bought a xbox360 point card in case characters are to be released via DLC.  There has been rumors going around that Megaman is going to be released via, DLC rather than being included into the game.  I haven't played it, midterms are taking first priority 

Post your xbox360 tags if you want to play, I have to check my tag but I think its blossomyelm0.  I didnt' get around to changing it yet since I recieved my xbox.

Picked it up yesterday....eye candy/porn. Incredibly graphics with outstanding colours!

 

I player SF2 way back in our university common-room in the early '90s and have been a huge fan of the series since. If you play on the Playstation Network, I'm on there with the same username.  smile.gif

My brother is very fan of these. so i have played with him sometimes, i am not a fan of these kind of games but all that speed and eye candy can be very appealing.

I'm a big fan of fighting games. I'm dying here waiting for my copy of the game (and T shirt!) from Capcom store to arrive! I have an exam tomorrow though, so I guess it's a good thing the game isn't here yet, lol.

I was excited about getting it, but then I watched a preview on gamepro and it didn't look that great.

 

You guys have to let us know if it is really good or not.

It's a great game but CAPCOM laughs at the users with this DLC charging € 5 per character... then complain about piracy rolleyes.gif

It comes out tomorrow in the UK so I have to wait a bit longer.
 
I haven't been excited about a game like this one since Street Fighter IV.
 
I never played the first two so the fight mechanic will be completely new to me which should give it plenty of shelf life.
 
Don't know how I feel about the DLC thing, it's expensive but when the game starts getting old the ability to buy whole new charecters will be pretty welcome. If that charecter becomes your main its effectively a whole new game.

Nice to see some other Capcom fans here. For a while there I was beginning to consider the possibility that all but a handful of head-fiers thought I was actually into yoga.

Seriously? How did anyone miss your display pic of Dhalsim?

 

OT: I'll prob pick up the game, but gonna wait for DLC to get released first.

Oh, no one actually came and asked me about yoga or anything, lol. I was just thinking that if someone who isn't familiar with Dhalsim sees my avatar and user name, they might get the wrong idea.

It's a great game, but it's been highly anticipated since Capcom released Tatsunoko vs Capcom and there was plenty of speculation that the 3rd installment of the Marvel vs Capcom series was coming along.  The Capcom VS series have always been enjoyable to me.  They're flashy and fun.  The only negative is that I find that this game is even more stripped down in controls than before.  Then again TvC was as stripped down as you can get and it was insanely fun and was respected enough to have been one of the games played at Tougeki - Super Battle Opera.  I can't wait for the weekend so I can spend some more time playing.

 

Anyone sort out who they're going to put on their main team?

I normally play Ryu in SF so will probably keep him as my main, as for the rest its all new to me so will have to work out who works well with him.

 

Any suggestions?

There are so many characters who I have interest in playing. I imagine it will take a while before I can whittle it down to less than 6 characters. Then maybe twice as long before I decide on my main 3.
