Asus DX - Static at 192Khz, fine at 96Khz

I have a toslink cable going from the rear panel of my PC into my Yulong d100. I'm getting static at 192khz.. and for some reason, the Yulong doesn't go over 96Khz, I've seen it switch to 88.2 Khz a few times as well. I wanted to be sure it wasn't the Yulong that was at fault so I plugged in my tritton ax pro headsets and tested again, i got the same results, 96khz and below would play fine.

 

I've tried this by going through the sound control panel and using the test function for the various signals.

 

Anyone knows what's going on here? Is my soundcard broken?

I have this same issue with the D100. Be interesting if anyone else had any input as to why this was happening.
