Sennheiser HD600 with a cable upgrade?

I have been reading about the HD600 cable upgrades and I am wondering if it is really worth it to invest in a cable that will cost almost as much as the headphones itself?

Some people say it's some placebo effect, and others say it makes a big improvement in sound quality.

I've also read that the HD600 stock cable is better than the HD650 cable while most say that the HD650 cable is a simple good upgrade from the HD600 stock cable.

I'd much rather buy another headphone than to spend the money on a cable unless it makes a world of difference.

Thanks for any input. I am really confused because there are people supporting both sides.

I'll also put up a poll so it's easier to see what's more popular.

Haha, I wish there was a place where I can go to locally to test all these questions side by side to see for myself. But there is no such place around here.

Wow! Well that'll do it, I am not going to invest in a cable lol. Much rather buy another headphone.
