I've searched and poked around, but there are just too many opinions and threads out there...so sorry for the question if it seems redundant.
I gave up on Miles Davis. I had to change the EQ for every album I listened to. He wasn't what I was in search of. I'm kinda "over" IEM's. I want closed back headphone that will work well with my Clip+ that is not quite so "true to the recording" for lack of better words. My MD's were too revealing and made my "fun music" not quite so fun. Revealing the flaws in the recording process and necessitating much higher bitrates to be enjoyable versus the 320kbps that I currently use.
I'm looking for a slightly laid back sounding headphone (~$150'ish) that is a little punchy, but not over the top like the V-Moda Crossfade LP from the sound of things.
Will the SC Roc Nation Aviator fill the bill? Others?
I admit that if I scoop out the EQ, boost the lows and treble a bit...I prefer the sound of my PortaPro's over the MD's. (more relaxed)
Thanks in advance
