Shure SRH750DJ vs. Ultrasone HFI-580

Thread Starter

These both headphones seem to be very similar, including the price.

I'll have to try them out for myself in the near future and I will review them then in this thread.

But until this moment I really would like to read your experiences.

Has someone already compared them through and through?

Can you compare both or comment on sound stage, bass impact, punch, mids, highs, wearing comfort, amplification, etc.?

i own the shure srh750dj headphones and i quite enjoy them. most people say they are uncomfortable but i find them just fine. its got a pretty good sound stage for a closed can. and the bass is very responsive. the mids are less recessed then say the m50s however and the highs are very accurate.

i havn't tried the hfi580 so i cannot compare but thats my experience with my shures.

Any news on this? I've been curious about the opinions of people who have used both.

I've only tried the 750DJ for a few minutes, but the most noticeable difference between the two was sharpness. The 750DJ is warmer than the HFI-580, and the HFI-580 sounded slightly clearer in the midrange.

Which would you recommend then if you don't mind me asking?

How about the bass response on the 750djs vs the hfi 580s?
