It is now!

Great! I'm currently looking at picking up a set of Grado's, possibly the PS500. Should I bother checking Pulswork's for them, or go straight to headphonebar.com?

I talked to him just before the break and he said he was getting a whole bunch of grados in, but I'd call David first just to check.  Supporting the local guy is always good when you can...

They're about a block away from where I work, I had no idea they even existed until this weekend. I'll drop by there tomorrow and see what they have.

I've had my Sennheiser's for about 5 years now, never even ran them off of an amp, it's time to get a little more serious!

If you've never been there just a heads up: David's suuuper knowledgeable.  And he carries some incredible equipment, but he's very good at making you believe what he has is simply the best.  Realistically there are hundreds of options for anything.  Not to discredit him at all... he's great, but still one guy (one priest actually) with his own opinion and experience.

Also, he does tend to suffer from the "audiophile pretentiousness" a tad :p but we all succumb to it to a certain degree.

I stopped by there. He isn't getting his Grado shipment in for probably a month or a bit more. He was really excited about them though! There's definitely some incredible equipment there!!

How do you like your SR-225's?

I used to have a set of sr-60's so I knew what to expect but the 2235's really blew me away!  They have all the lovely gradoiness but drastically improved in virtually every functional area.  That midrange really is to die for...  I'm actually going to be putting them up for sale so if you wanna give em an audition just lemme know!  I just want to sell them because I really dont use them enough, I have my customs for being out and about and my studio monitors for at home.  Cans just dont really fit into my rig at the moment.

I won't need them for myself, I'm dead set on the PS500's, which I'm going to order on Wednesday, since I don't have the patience to wait. How much will you be asking for your 225's?

Hey fellow saskatoonians. I will also add my voice to those praising pulsworks. David has worked with me and my limited (in the audiophile world) budget to get me a decent set up and I have never in my life had customer service better than my times in his shop. I love how excited he is about his business and helping people get what they need.

I was just gonna sell them for what I bought them: $150ish depending on shipping

The guy just plain goes above and beyond.  If only some of that passion could be passed on to the rest of the local audio industry.  I wish there was a more mid-fi specific place/selection.  You can get some midfi stuff and places like kiley's but it's all order in and very small selections.  A more one-stop shop with a selection of more niche midrange audiophile manufacturers/lineups would be incredible.  (I'd be lying if I said I dont secretly dream about opening that shop :p )

You and me both. But I also know that such an endeavour would result in me living in a box eating food out of the dumpster.
