Ultrasone Short Cable Replacement

Hey all,

I'm looking to replace the detachable cable for my friends Ultrasone DJ1 Pro.

I had a cable lying around I made that I gave to him, using standard gold radioshack connectors...all I had at the time.  However, the bodies of the plugs were too wide to fit in to the his cans.

So, does anyone know what size the plug body is on their short cable that they offer, and a similar DIY jack that would work?

Thanks!  One question though, how do the neutrik mini handles connect to the plug?  Most bodies I have seen screw on to the plug, and it looks like there is no threads below the flat guard plate at the bottom of the plug.

I've wondered about that in the past as well, and my consensus was that you either glue the barrel in, or use heatshrink to cover it.

Hmm ok, that's interesting.  I guess you could just not use the barrel, and add some glue/epoxy and then techflex and heatshrink over it and it would be secure enough, would cut down on the weight slightly as well.
