Here's another of my creations that was not built intending to sell it, and it shows:) This is a Cavalli-Kan Kumisa III fit into a compact, neat case with a separate power supply "brick" that is designed to sit on the floor (using your foot to press the switch on & off). I've feedback here, in an archive thread here & in an ebay ID I can provide.
The "upgrades" are use of 2SA1837 / 2SC4793 output transistors (less "dry" IMO & some others, search around), switch to actual TO200 heatsinks since these pictures were taken so biased to about 45mA quiescent current. This is halfway between the recommended bias for non-heatsinked & heatsinked outputs, so I believe its conservatively the "best" that I'd go in this case. The 2-box build means a very quiet amp since the transformer is nowhere near the amp itself. It's setup for 4.1x gain which is nice for most cans, but perhaps not the more inefficient ones (e.g. driving my DT880/600Rs the vol pot is about 2/3s up up its travel).
It works flawlessly & is a solid build, only selling because I've far too many headamps & wish to fund other projects. I guess I'm just a serial builder:)
