I've youtubed crappy songs.. but quickly ended them lol. My music consists on only things that I enjoy.. works better that way :P.

I hear crappy songs on the radio all the time in my work truck then. Keesha, things like that.

I've had this experience.  Usually tbh it's because the song reminds me of something.

Every once in a while when I don't have a CD in my car I'll turn on the radio and enjoy it .  Rarely though.  I usually turn it off in a fit of rage because they're still playing the same songs they were playing a year ago plus a couple new equally meh songs .  It angers me that people fall for that junk when real musicians are alive and well in the world.

To answer your question, I've caught myself enjoying stuff like the black eyed peas before.  I couldn't believe it, but that stupid song by weezer they play on the radio although I quickly turned it off after the first verse.  I have you all beaten I think.  I've enjoyed some of the better stuff my sister listen(ed) to just because they used to play it all the time so it brings back memories.  For instance, lifehouse - no name face reminds me of finishing (high) school on a friday afternoon and playing WOW .  Yea, it gets worse than that, but I won't confess anymore .

Hey, the whole point of music is to enjoy it and have fun.  Some of the shallow mainstream pop stuff sounds good and is enjoyable every once in a while.  Just after a few songs it gets old and good music is required.

It's more of a guilty pleasure kind of thing for me because my collection is carefully screened to allow in only stuff I really like (or did like at one point), but basically any techno song or anything by the band Asia would count in regards to this question. The latter has some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard (though Yes and CSN(Y) can really grate on my nerves with their pseudo-religious and hippy crap, respectively). I also routinely bop my head to O-Zone's "Dragostea din tei" (the "Numa Numa" song) and Eiffel 65's "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" when I'm in the mood for absolutely cliched stuff, along with a few of Scatman John's more famous tracks. At that point I'm not really too concerned with fidelity, as the fun factor has completely taken over.

Note that I make sure to do all this with my (closed) SRH440, lest people look at me like I'm weird. Sadly, for those of you who know me on Head-Fi, that cat has already been let out of the bag.
