So I've been searching and searching, and browsing and browsing these forums, but I can't find anyone who has any advice or opinions with op amp replacements for the Fiio E9. I've had the E9/E7 combo for just over a month and I think it's great. I'm pretty new to all this money sucking "audiophile" fun, but wow...now that I've started getting into it, it's becoming an obsession!
I want to play around with different op amps and see what kind of different sounds I can get out of the E9, but I can't find any information on which op amps will be ok to use in the E9 (don't wanna damage anything by mistakingly assuming any op amp will work). Has anyone messed around with this? Can anyone give me some advice?
Finally, I've seen the disassembly pics and notice that there are 3 op amps in the E9. I'm guessing each one serves the stereo ouput circuit for 1) 3.5mm jack, 2) 1/4" jack, and 3) RCA preamp jacks on the back. Does anyone know which op amp goes with which jack? I guess I could take it apart first and trace the circuits...but hopefully someone just knows.
