Will a headphone amp improve this? help please?

So, Im thinking of getting a Sony Walkman 16gb mp3 player. It will either be E series or S series.

 

I love the look of the E, but I heard the output is really low. Would my FIIO E5 fix this? i

 

I have Sony MDR V-150 headphones, soon to be Denon. Thanks.

That depends on what headphone you decide to get.  True Sony's portable players tend to have weaker outputs, but that won't be much an issue if you're getting easy to drive headphones.  Regardless, adding the E5 will add improvement to the overall sound quality whether the E-series can drive them properly or not.

Yeh, im not sure what headphones im getting yet, but will the E5 boost the output to a listenable level?
