Gone through researching a lot of players recently.. price isn't much of an issue this time. I think I've narrowed it down to cowon and s:flo2, just beating out Sony from what I've read.. now this is hard. There's so much hype around these players idk what to believe basically what I get from it all is
J3/x7: -best Eq
-awesome battery life
-good screen for viewing video
-more power to drive power hungry headphones
- rolled off bass?
S:flo2: -the best flat, un Eq'd sound
-true LOD
-terrible battery
-terrible firmware compared to j3
- can use rockbox?
So this is what I've gathered.. not sure if the s:flo2 can use rockbox or not? but I feel like that would solve UI problems. I will be using the player mainly with a set of TF10's and I normally like flat sound but if the cowon bbe system is really that great I'd probably be swayed. So yea mainly looking for something that'll play music with high fidelity and decent UI that I don't have to worry about crashing on me all the time atleast.... go (:
