Droid X

Hey I'm using a droid x as my primary music player now, and I was wondering what I could do about the sound quality. I have a Predator portable amp going to my sennheiser headphones. The predator has a 3.5mm and usb inputs...how should I connect the droid x to it? If I use a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm, then it will use the amp/DAC in the droid x, which would defeat the purpose of the portable amp, right? could I plug the droid x into the amp via usb...would that work better?

I'm curious about this, thinking about using my new X for listening on the go. I've not been able to find specs on the power output of the droid x hp jack. Basically the amp will give you more power to drive the phones and amplify any weaknesses of the droid's DAC circuitry.

A question for you: how does it sound amped vs unamped? How does the droid setup compare to you iPod or usb out from your laptop?
