This may seem a daft question but I take it the HFN/RR azimuth test is impossible with headphones as the sound must project into the room in order for the anti-phased tones to be self-cancelling? (Anyone ever tried?)
My problem is that neither my amp or phono stage has a stereo/mono switch but headphone amps generally do (although I do not own one)
The inspiration died the moment realisation dawned.... :)
Advice/workarounds much appreciated.....
