It helps to not have to take the lens cap off every time, but I don't want the front element to get all beat up from bouncing around in the bag.

Huh.  And I thought lomography was in...you know, that dirty, scratchy, cheap plastic lens look people are after.

I've taken some of my best shots with the lens cap on.  They're a little underexposed though.

I've also given up trying to be inconspicuous in my old age.  I just grab my camera out of my huge camera bag, jump right in front of people, shove my lens in their face and scream "Booga-Booga!" and shoot.  I got a great portfolio of very expressive faces juxtaposed against shots of the inside of police stations.

Hmmm... that sounds like something Michael Goodman would write...

"I am finished doing what I swore an oath to myself I would do two years ago.  I've created something that thrills people.  And in that purpose, I am a success. I've done this because, philosophically, I am sympathetic to your aim.  I can tell you without ego, the HiFi-M8 is my finest achievement.  If on your journey, you should encounter Ken Ball, Ray Samuels, or David Maudlin, you will make them cry."

I hope Michael and the guys in Chicago are not loosing sleep over the rubber bands.  I just want the best sounding DAC/Amp on the face of the planet.  I have no issue with the folks at Centrance loosing sleep over the most reliable, well built, feature laden, power packed, flexible, coolest thing ever.  I have faith that Michael will come up with the right product.

I am not concerned about the rubber bands so much; they are just rubber.  Hey, in the immortal words of Chico Escuela (aka Garrett Morris from SNL), "Rubber break, but I can't talk about that".

Sounding bad for the money alone won't generate the criticism Beats have gotten here. There's much more to it than that.

People still on witch-hunt-pitchforks-and-torches mode it seems, even after 7+ years. (That long?!)

HE-500: "Set her free! It's me you want! Come out you coward!"

Voice from building: "So, you've come at last, HE-500...."

With the HD-650, hip-hop isn't so much of a "yo! I'm a mutha-f***in' gangsta!", but it's more of a "Hi there. I am a gangster."
