Hope you all enjoyed the mighty Audio Stoat 01 "amplifier" stunt.

The original Audio Stoat was brought to "life" a couple of years ago when I waiting impatiently for my new 300B amp and there was an empty space on my rack...I know too much time on my hands.

The E bay auction was part of the April Fools prank for my site Hifi Pig which culminated in a couple of world exclusive reviews.

You absolutely should not listen to the IEMs during this period.  Also, playing Rick Astley in a continual loop has been determined to be the ideal burn-in track for proper driver attenuation.

The ultimate insulation with silver wire is hemp sheathing, but it's hard to source. It has silver's brightness with a pleasant tubey distortion from the psycho-actives in the hemp.

I so hope he's kidding.  Cause I laughed.

From a discussion about what material would have the best audio characteristics for an amplifier case:

To reduce standing waves, all holes in the panels should be chamfered at between 30 and 32 degrees, and everything should be held in place with stainless steel M10 bolts no more than 1-3/4" in length. The case should be supported with spikes investment cast of tarnish-resistant palladium sterling silver, resting on natural ivory supports hand-machined by Tibetian monks. Also, you should put the power supply in a separate, identical enclosure, and keep the two enclosures at least 1/4KM apart, oriented at exactly 90-degree angles.

EDIT: Missed a phrase in my introduction.  I'm also sure he was kidding this time.

Has anyone tried these before to see if it actually does improve the sound?

But, to make a great product, customers need to come forth and share their collective experience.
