installing windows 7 I have no sound

Since installing windows 7 I have no sound it is saying no audio output device is installed do you know what I can do to fix this.

Have you tried running Windows Update?  Windows 7 is fairly good about grabbing almost all the necessary drivers via an update?  If you have a DAC with usb, you can try hooking it up and testing it out.  Though it sounds like you're just missing drivers.

What sound card are you using? Go to manufacturer's website and get any necessary updates.

Most of the time it is missing or outdated drivers.
