Jim is making me one as we speak!  Hopefully I'll get my QA350 sorted as a transport so I don't have to preamp my DACPort via Thinkpad into everything.

I'm in if you'll have me, I'll be bringing mostly portable gear, but if I could have one outlet for the LLP for the Lisa III, everything else will be fully charged and won't need to be plugged in. I will have a buddy drop me off and pick me up. If you'll have me could you please PM me your address?
Thank you
Brandon

OOooo, Leckerton and AHA-120?  Think you'll get it by then?

No, I'm afraid not, The AHA-120 won't happen till early June, the second one (if I go that way) middle of the following month

I'm still trying to sort things out, but it looks like I can make this, unless of course I get called for work that day.

Unless some random health ailment strikes, I'll be there with the same stuff I mentioned in a previous post.

Will anyone be bringing a pair of Beyer T1 or an HE-6 with them this time?  I'd really like to hear those.

Well, my amp has been alive and kicking since Friday afternoon with no hiccups. My Stax setup might not be as hardcore as n3rdling's, but it's pretty damn serious. I'd love to audition some new sources and see what kind of sound I can squeeze out of this thing. I hope it's a small enough event that that's not a big issue. Hey IpodPJ, any chance of you bringing that Reference 7? Considering it's a heavy beast, I'll understand if the answer is no.

Well it wouldn't be the Reference 7, it would be the Reference 7.1 which is replacing it and due to arrive Tuesday or Wednesday, and it's actually one of my lightest pieces of gear.  However I've had nothing but bad luck at meets with gear breaking, so for the past two meets I haven't brought anything except my HD800 and I don't think this meet will be an exception.  It's not that I don't want to, but just that I can't afford any more repairs, especially since all my gear now is new stuff (new amp, new DAC, new power regenerator, more highly-modified Transporter which is currently out for repair).  If you want to listen to it though I'm sure we can set up a date when you can come over.

I'm on the fence on bringing the PS Audio PWD because it's so heavy, but if you or anyone else is interested, I'll be happy to haul it there. I'll bring the Peak/Volcano and SRM323-SR507 combo too.

Hey, I would actually love to come by. I just started in this here headphone game and I have a E7/E9 Combo and a pair of HiFiMan HE-5LE's. I might be free on the 7th, and I live in the Palisades so it wouldn't be much of a drive either. I'm happy to bring the 5LE's if anyone is interested in hearing them, and I'll bring FLAC electronic, jazz, live jazz, vocal, piano, and concerto pieces, as well as my full library of 320.

Hello there,

I like to welcome everyone to our second Southern California headphone meet on the beaches of sunny Venice California.

Our home is about 3000 ft.², we have two living rooms both with fireplaces. We also have a large foyer/dining room area, and a small DJ corner. Last time we had about 15 to 20 people over, it wasn't crowded at all, and we had plenty of table space.

I encourage people to bring outlet strips if they have them. We have a limited number of them. The place is newly renovated as of last year there are many outlets available.

For those who did the last meet, it's going to be pretty much the same load in and load out. We can have about two cars at any given time unloading gear. Typically not everyone arrives at exactly the same time so it all seems to work out pretty well. During the loading out phase people go in turn and that works just as smoothly.

If you have received a message from me with directions to the place please make sure to send me a private message soon. As we get closer to the meet, I will be busier, and it will be more difficult for me to quickly respond to a private message. Also, I'd appreciate knowing exactly how many people are coming- give or take a few, because I'd like to provide some food and refreshments for people.

Two other things to note, we are always looking for new music. What I like to do is audition music as full wave files or CD Redbook quality, and then if there's something I like I like to try to purchase it as 24-bit 96 kHz files. If you have a hard drive with your music on it, or any laptop with a FireWire drive that would be great. BRING IT ALL!!!!! I'd love to hear your playlists. This is what allows me to convince my GF to do this.

We will have five FireWire drives.

They are FireWire 800 drives, and they can be daisy chained, I also have FireWire 800 cables that terminate in FireWire 400. They also do USB, albeit more slowly.

Lastly, I'm in the market for several things. I need 2 pairs of interconnect cables–standard RCA. Bring extras of yours to sell me!

I also need Entec SW-1 Subwoofers, as well as Either Classe 600 monoblocks (4) or two Bryston 4BSST squared amps. Rowland Model 7's would also be a good match. I am also looking for a near mint Goldmund Studio turntable or a Sota Star Sapphire turntable with a  vacuum mat. I need Koetsu or dynavector cartridges and Audio research Phono preamps. Oddly I am also looking for near mint Technics 1200 GLD (yes gold DJ turntables with Gold tonearms).

I am selling a few things at the Meet :

a pair of Magneplanar MC1 loudspeakers

a pair of Bryston powerpack 60 monoblock amplifiers

a REL R-205 subwoofer

The above is a complete system. Less than 1 year old...very few hours as it was used in a previous home only for 2 months. No marks of any kind. 35% off list.

AND::::::::::

An Audio Research VS110 stereo tube amp (with Great Northern Sound V-cap and power supply modifications)

You may hear the ALL the amps in my Infinity Reference Standard RS1-b loudspeaker system with a Wadia 860 CD player (with Great Norther Sound Statement Level modification- IMHO the world's best digital source).

After the meet if there is interest in purchasing the Magneplanar MC1's and REL R-205 Subwoofer I would be willing to hook those up for a listen.

More people are welcome.. just pm me.

Thanks for hosting this local meet again this year!  I'm really bummed I won't be able to make it this time around since I'll be in Texas for the weekend.  Oh well, next time ;)
