Which sound card? Asus Xonar Essence STX or Auzentech x-meridian?

Hi,

 

I'm currently debating on purchasing on purchasing either the Asus STX or the Auzentech x-meridian and was wondering if anyone has had experience with both of them.

I will primarily be using the sound card for listening to music and maybe a bit of gaming, but I don't really game all that much. I would like to use the sound card as a DAC as I already have a Matrix M-stage amp. Another concern I'd like to address would be that I'd like to hook some speakers up to the sound card and be able to use the headphones as well.

There's a few Essence + M-Stage users, ask them - the search function also goes through people's profiles.  The Essence has RCA line-out, I think, in addition to a 1/4" jack for headphones.

Search did not turn up any x-meridian + M-Stage users, so it is possible that there might not be any.

Okay thanks, it looks like I will probably go with the Essence STX as the store I will be visiting has them in stock but not the Meridian and also I'd like to use the RCA line out.
