Is the woo audio 6 a good match for lcd2 orthos?  I also have sennheiser 800 hd and plan to run both headphone with this amp.  I hadn't open the amp yet and was wondering if i could get some advice before i open it.  My source is not that great i probably going to use it with my mac book pro or my cowon j3.  Any advice on balancing this setup would be great.  Also does anyone know what is a good way to get a toslink or coxial setup for the mac book pro 13 inch 2010 edition.  Thank you in advance for any help.

Yes.

Two reviewers in this community that I highly respect (headphoneaddict and skylab) have both enjoyed the WA6 with the hd800 and LCD-2 and I can say from personal experience that the wa6 is a great match for these two cans. I currently own the WA6SE and have been running both the lcd-2 and hd800 off of it for a while with pleasure.

I would recommend a Sophia mesh rectifier tube though :)

The Woo 6 should have no problem driving either phone and sounding very good.

I enjoy the WA6 and LCD-2 combination, for sure.  I don't listen at super-loud levels, and I am using the 6FD7 output tube, but given those, it has more than enough power for my needs, and sounds excellent with the LCD-2.

Do you find the LCD-2's with the WA-6 bright and airy enough - at least as much as the "new version" HD600's/HD580's/HD650's (not the "old version," which were very dark)?

I'm partial to the treble of those Senns, the RS-1's, the AD2000's, and the SR-507's - when all are properly amped and set up (they are not strident, but have clear, airy, extended and smooth treble).

I find them bright and airy enough, for sure.  I can't compare to those headphones you listed, though.
