Quick capacitor & resistor question :)

Hey everyone,

 

I'm looking to build a pro bias board for my Stax SRD-7.  I found a guide at Headphonia, but want to make sure my selection is correct before finalizing the order.  They don't list the type of caps used, only the specs needed but there's a picture.

Parts:

 

VR1: 500k Ohm, Single Turn
R1: 470k Ohm, 1/2 Watt
R2: 33k Ohm, 1/2 Watt
R3: 2.7M Ohm, 1/2 Wtt
R4: 2M Ohm, 1/2 Watt
D1, D2: 1N4007 (or other diodes with ratings above 800V)
C1: 0.1uF 630V, AC Rating
C2: 0.1uF 1000V, DC Rating

 

The parts I'm questioning:

 

R3 and R4, am I right assuming these are carbons (the white ones)?

 

C1 and C2: are pulse film capacitors acceptable for the usage? (schematic at the above link, but they're the only two caps shown)

The resistors are carbon, but, you could use metal film as well. The power rating is most important.

In the picture, C1 is a mylar capacitor. C2 looks to be a film cap. I would mimic that selection.

Some serious voltage with that circuit. Be very, very careful!

BTW, for the mylar cap, you probably want to use one that is flameproof and rated for use across an AC line. The circuit would be much safer that way.
