Offering the Audio-Technica ATH-HA5000/ATH-W5000 "Raffinato" combo for less than the price of the amp alone, $OLD including the Paypal fees as well as shipping and insurance in the USA, which will total close to $100 for the three items. They will be shipped via insured Priority Mail in three separate boxes, as I am including the step-down 100v transformer to be used with 120v USA AC power for the amplifier as well.
Buyer must have a PayPal confirmed shipping address, and a shipping surcharge will apply for addresses outside the USA.
As an alternative I am interested in a bass-heavy (pre-4k serial number) AKG K1000 in trade, they must be in excellent original condition from an established Head-fier.
The headphones are like new, with unusually excellent wood cup specimens and the original box and travel suitcase also like new. They have the phatpad mod, which I feel is essential; not just for comfort but also to increase the distances between the ear and the driver. To completely reverse this just gently pull the silicone tubing out from behind the pads.
The amplifier is in excellent condition as well, I cannot find any blemishes on it. I think I am the third owner of it, so I had it checked out by Audio-Technica in Japan where it passed with flying colors. The reason I am selling this combo is to reduce the number of systems I own so I am not looking to separate the three items.
Edit 2/23: I have priced the HA5000 amplifier at the only place selling it, it goes for $1472 shipped to the US/Canada.
