i was bored so i figured i'd ask this here. A couple of months ago a got a concert ticket signed by one of my favorite bands. i went to fedex to laminate it and they turned one side of the ticket black (the autographed side FML). is there any way to fix it? if i take off the lamination, will the ticket be fine underneath burnt plastic? or will it be burnt? so i was just wondering if there was a way to fix this.

The ticket was probably written on heat-sensitive paper (like most receipts), and the lamination, which is done by putting the paper between two sheets of plastic with a heat activated adhesive on the inside, and then heated up while being pressed together, has written over what was originally on the ticket.

The autograph will still be there, and visible under the right light conditions, as I'd imagine it was written in ink, but yes, you cannot turn the ticket back into its original state.
