Hey all,
I am selling my 80gb DIYmod. The way I built this was to replicate the Whipmod specs, so it was put together with the following parts:
1. Brand new 850MAH battery
2. All capacitors were REMOVED (some people just solder the by-pass wire without removing components, I believe removing them helps with sq)
3. SCSCag 26AWG wire (from cryo-parts) was used internally
4. All solder joints were made using Cardas quad eutectic solder and double checked for quality via magnifying glass
The only reason I am selling this unit is because I plan on moving to a desktop DAC-based system, and my only use for a portable will be during gym use or walking around campus.
As you can see from the pictures, the unit is in pristine condition. The faceplate has no scratches, but the backplate has one slight scuff. I will include a brand-new back-plate for the ipod (or I can go ahead and install it if the buyer wishes).
I am looking to pass a good deal on to a fellow head-fier who is looking at a new/used Whipmod or iMod. These units are much more expensive, but I am looking for ** PRICE DROP** 270 SHIPPED CONUS
