Do you feel that way because I purchased the cups+foam package when I could have just purchased the foams? I'm sorry.

Hey, while I've opened another reply I always wanted to ask, what other headphones have the 'frequency response' of the HD600? I know this does not mean they have the same sound sig, but after seeing a few similar FR's (Hifiman HE-6 for egs.) I was curious how many others there were.

using headroom build in graphs , K702 is very close to HD600 , but they don't sound alike :p , DT-880 curve is not far away too .

Perhaps the bass, sure, but from midrange all the way up it's not even close... the waves are way different. When I say similar, I mean this;

The treble curves are on the exact same if not similar frequencies.

As the HE6 is not similar in treble to HD600 :o

When i compare K702 to HD600 the curve to me is quite close (unless in treble) .

IF this graph is not similar to you , i don't know what you are seeking :rolleyes:

Looking at those 2 graphs, IMO the HD600 graphs bears more resemblance to the HE-6 graphs. The K702 graphs may seem similar, but the treble spike/drop actually contradicts one and another. On the other hand, the HE-6 graphs follows the same spike/drop pattern as the HD600.

K702 has it's peak around 2.2khz while HD600 has it's peak around 3.7khz and they almost invert each other at 6k but yeah the bass is the same... they're both neutral on that end :)

I just find it really interesting how close HE-6 is to HD600's treble on the graphs. That peak at around 14khz is perfectly alligned to the same frequency as is the 22khz peak. It's a really close match... I feel intrigued in checking the HE-6 out.

14khz and 22khz peak ? their is not much audio informations on this ranges (on some case yes , but not very often) . Take a track on audacity and cut 14khz and beyond .

But yeah the patern of HE6 seams closer to HD600 on highs , just not at same levels .

Yes I know, but it's a correlation and the lower highs are also very much similar. Don't forget the supersonic theory either. ;)
