BTW, I reckon the comfortable part. As comfy as listening from HD600.;) And I never wear pantyhose.:p

Oh wait, wrong forum LOL. Cashiers are often too tired to care what you buy or too used to crazier things happening at a store to really respond to whatever you decide to buy from my experience. If the cashier is looking at you weird, odds are you were the one acting awkward/nervous/oddly. Could've just assumed it was for a girlfriend or something too.

I still have no idea how we ended up at this part of the discussion.

That's the best explanation for anything ever.

What were your drinking? So you actually blacked out and can't remember how your foams got half chewed up. I'm with you, I wouldn't want to remember either. :D

Got similar experience but I didn't chew my HD600. Spend my time listening to Bon Jovi, Beth Hart and Eric Clapton accompany by a bottle of vodka.

The last thing I remember is "Bed of roses" and I turn off my Crack. The first thing I check when I woke up is to make sure my DAC, amp and headphone is still working. Later I found out there's a flood at my kitchen. Damn it I forgot to turn off the water tap.

That's the power of HD600 enhanced by alcohol.

Not me it was allets. At least I don't remember eating my HD600 headband foams. Must have tasted like Schiit, my Bifrost is definitely off the menu. :blink:

I ordered replacement foams and while I was at it replacement cups too. Should be interesting. Right now, it's me and my barebones HD600.

No way, you munched on the cups too?

It comes as a package. May as well take the chance to turn the HD600 to it's just-out-of-box state as the cups have become a bit squashed... although I kind of liked the increased bass I got from the squashed cups. It was just right. Just like the HD600... just right. Delicious too.

So I am going to be finding out how the Matrix M-Stage sounds with the HD600s and the DT880s. I hope it is a good pairing for the HD600s more than anything, because I hear it sounds fantastic with the AKG q701, K7** series. Only time and testing will tell which will be this friday.  This is not the newer HPA2 edition this is the 2012 updated version. I will report back with findings with synergy or if I would suggest otherwise. I mean I know both headphones sound superb with the Fournier HTA-2. Worse comes to worse, I sell the amp and pick an O2 or asgard 2.

Do you feel that way because I purchased the cups+foam package when I could have just purchased the foams? I'm sorry.

Hey, while I've opened another reply I always wanted to ask, what other headphones have the 'frequency response' of the HD600? I know this does not mean they have the same sound sig, but after seeing a few similar FR's (Hifiman HE-6 for egs.) I was curious how many others there were.

using headroom build in graphs , K702 is very close to HD600 , but they don't sound alike :p , DT-880 curve is not far away too .

Perhaps the bass, sure, but from midrange all the way up it's not even close... the waves are way different. When I say similar, I mean this;

The treble curves are on the exact same if not similar frequencies.
