That's all that matters then. I quite enjoy the Magni with my 600s.

Indeed. My HE-300 was so boring with the Magni but great with the Vali. The HD 600/HD 650 are leagues ahead of the HiFiMANs though.

i wont break it?

I suggest just wearing them. Unless you are feeling a lot of discomfort. They loosen up over time.

I did it, it worked fine for me.

This post was very helpful: http://www.head-fi.org/t/438898/hd650-hd600-hd580-comfortable-uncomfortable-or-fractured#post_5915650

Now they are heaven on my head! So much more comfortable.

If you only bend the metal strips that connect the plastic section of the headband to the earcups, you'll be fine.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BEND THE PLASTIC HEADBAND ITSELF!! It's rigid and not intended to 'give' much. It WILL crack if subjected to enough stress.

The post that White Lotus quoted was also the one that helped me.  The trick is to fully extend the headband and the use your thumbs/forefingers to bend and hold the metal strips. Keep them bent for 20-30 seconds at a time & do this a few times (testing the fit every so often) until you get them just right for you. You can bend them back if you go to far. The strips are made from steel and you'd need to use some serious force to damage/snap them.

How long do you all wear yours at one time?  I have a large head (7 1/2) and I've not had a problem with clamping discomfort.

I can wear mine for hours at a time and they feel comfortable throughout. I've been known to fall asleep with them on. biggrin.gif

I didn't bend the metal headband outwards on mine, but I have each side at about six to seven clicks out from the tightest setting (I'm 5'7" if that can give some idea of my head size), and my ears would sweat or I would finish several prog/power/symphonic metal albums (some of them concept albums) before I feel any discomfort from the clamping "force."
